Our main desire and purpose as a church family is: "To love our Lord Jesus Christ and glorify Him through worship, evangelism, discipleship and ministry to those around us." In all of our ministries and activities we seek to know Jesus better and make Him known to others.
We are a growing, Spirit-filled church, a community of believers in Jesus and His Word. We are family who love each other and when we meet to worship our Lord together, we are home. Coach Blake Feldt, Head Varsity Football Coach for our great Pilot Point Bearcats, who recently joined our church, said, "When I came back to Calvary, I couldn't believe it! We give all the glory to Jesus for all He is doing to abundantly bless our church and lives! We offer two great worship services on Sunday. Our Traditional Worship Service begins at 8:15 am (with traditional hymns, organ, piano, antique wooden sculptured pulpit). Then at 10:45 am we get laid back and comfortable in our Contemporary Worship Service (we sing only contemporary Christian praise songs, we use the keyboard, guitars, drums and praise team).
Every sermon that is preached is Biblical, conservative, meaningful and relevant to the lives of those in our congregation, for both Christians and seekers. We believe that you will find our entire worship service enjoyable and uplifting. We meet for Bible study between services at 9:30 am for all ages.You will be glad you came!
On Sunday nights we have our Bible study with our pastor in our fellowship hall for all adults. We are studying the differences between our faith and other religions.This study will strengthen your faith as well as give you helpful information to share with others. On Sunday nights we also have youth and children's activities. On scheduled Sunday nights we have special activities such as our church-wide ministry conference or other events. On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm we have Adult Prayer Meeting and Bible Study andYouth Fellowship Bible Study. During the school year we have KZ Kraze, which is kid's zone children's Bible club, similar to Awanas but better! We all need a mid-week boost of the Spirit!
Calvary is located at 125 North Jefferson Street at the corner of Jefferson and Walcott, just north of City Hall and the historic town square in downtown Pilot Point. Persons are encouraged to "come just as you are" to any service or church event.
