Shoes For Souls Mission

In September 2008, our church collected new and gently worn shoes for orphans around the world. We delivered over 1000 pairs of shoes to Buckner Baptist Benevolence Ministries in Mesquite, Texas. Every year, Bucker collects shoes from churches and sends them all over the world to needy orphans. Thank you for your gifts. Jesus will reward you.

Youth Summer Mission Trip

Our youth ministered in San Antonio July 14-20, 2008. Our youth joined with Christian youth groups from all around the state to share Jesus with unbelievers, meet the spiritual and physical needs of many homeless persons and have Vacation Bible School in the projects. Because of the prayers of many, over twenty persons came to know Jesus and others grew closer to Jesus as first love.

Bricklaying Mission Trips

Trinity Pines Encampment in Trinity, Texas

Many times each year many of our men from Calvary go to various places around our nation to dedicate their time, talents and tithes to build churches, Christian camp buildings and make needed repairs. These men sacrifice several weeks a year to be away from their homes to obey Jesus by going out in Jesus' Name to help persons and Christian groups in need. They bring much relief, peace, joy and spiritual strength to the persons they help. Our church is thankful for the great work they do to represent our Lord Jesus Christ and His church.

Every time the local news stations and newspapers report that persons are left homeless or in need due to a natural catastrophy in Texas, such as a tornado or hurricane, we know that our Texas Baptist Men On Mission will soon be there, in the Name of Jesus, to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those effected. Many of our men and women from our church join with the Texas Baptist Men On Mission to lend a helping hand. Our Lord Jesus has blessed our church in every way for the faithfulness of these men and women who take time away to allow Jesus to minister and love through them as His beloved children. We praise Jesus for the many faithful members of Calvary that are His hands and feet to those He loves.
