20. Question: Should a Christian consult a medium or fortune teller?

Answer: No. Deuteronomy 18:9-15; Leviticus 19:31. Since God in His Word tells us that we should have nothing to do with a medium or fortune teller (spiritist), then those who are mediums and fortune tellers (spiritists) are clearly in violation of God's command, they are living out of the will of God and leading many people astray. Most conservative Christian ministers believe that mediums and fortune tellers are led by and empowered by Satan and his demons. Satan has limited power to work through people and speak lies; God has unlimited power and speaks through His people His truths. Christians should never have anything to do with sin, Satan, demons, demonic activity or the sinful activities of those who refuse to obey and follow the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. When seeking direction for your life, it is wise to consult a born again, Spirit filled, Bible believing, conservative Christian who loves Jesus, serves Jesus and daily ministers the Word of God to others; the Holy Spirit of Jesus supernaturally speaks through these persons to direct others to do His will.
